Juroku Financial Group adds web applications to its benefit catalog; DIGITALIFT splits its gift in two

Juroku Financial Group now lets holders apply online and adds ten web-only items. DIGITALIFT moves to two benefit cycles a year with a six-month holding rule. SOCIALWIRE gives an estimate for its shared-pool benefit.

Three companies filed benefit updates on September 18. None of them changed the overall value of its program. Each changed the mechanics: how holders apply, how often the benefit arrives, or how a fixed budget is shared.

Shareholder benefits, known in Japan as kabunushi yutai , are voluntary perks that listed companies give their holders, usually products, vouchers or discounts on the company's own services. They are set by each company's board and are separate from dividends.

The filings

Juroku Financial Group

TSE Prime · 7380 · Regional bank holding company, Gifu · Filed September 18

Juroku Financial Group's September benefit is a catalog of local products worth about ¥3,000 for holders of 1,000 shares or more. Until now holders could only apply by postcard and choose from 16 items. The group is adding online applications, and holders who apply online can choose from 26 items: the 16 catalog items plus 10 available only on the web. Postcard applications continue with the original 16. The March benefit, bottled mineral water for holders of 200 shares or more, is unchanged.

DIGITALIFT

TSE Growth · 9244 · Digital marketing and ad operations · Filed September 18

DIGITALIFT currently gives a digital gift once a year: ¥12,000 for 300 to 499 shares and ¥24,000 for 500 shares or more, with no holding requirement. From the March 2027 cycle it will give the gift twice a year, in March and September, at half the value each time, so the annual total is unchanged. Holders will also need to have held for at least six months. The September 2026 cycle stays on the old terms.

SOCIALWIRE

TSE Growth · 3929 · Press release distribution and shared offices · Filed September 18

In May, SOCIALWIRE introduced a benefit in which a fixed pool of about ¥15 million in digital gifts is divided among eligible holders: those with 200 shares or more held for at least six months. This filing adds an estimate. Based on its March 2026 register, about 1,300 holders would qualify, or roughly ¥11,300 each. The company stresses that the figure will change with the number of eligible holders. The first distribution is from the March 2027 cycle.

Context

SOCIALWIRE's design is worth noting. Most Japanese programs promise a fixed gift per holder, so the company's cost rises with the number of holders. A pooled program fixes the company's cost instead and lets the amount per holder vary. A handful of companies have adopted this model, and it makes the budget predictable for the issuer.

Juroku Financial Group's change is smaller but typical of larger issuers: the program stays the same, and the application process moves online. For a group with a large retail holder base, paper handling is a real cost.

Yutai's view

These are operational changes, and operations decide whether a benefit program survives. Postcards, fixed per-holder budgets and once-a-year mailings all add cost or friction. Companies that solve those problems tend to keep their programs. The next step is delivery that works for every verified holder, wherever the shares are held.
