Ikuyo reports results of its bitcoin benefit draw; abc lets holders nominate where points can be used

Ikuyo distributed bitcoin to 493 holders through a lottery-style benefit. abc launched a service that lets holders nominate shops and companies to accept their benefit points. PA, TOKYOTOKEIBA and Booking Resort also updated their programs.

Five companies filed benefit updates on September 30. Two of them stand out because they change what a benefit can be and where it can be used.

Shareholder benefits, known in Japan as kabunushi yutai , are voluntary perks that listed companies give their holders, usually products, vouchers or discounts on the company's own services. They are set by each company's board and are separate from dividends.

Ikuyo ran a lottery-style benefit for holders of 500 shares or more on its March 2026 register who kept their shares through June. Holders received a code by mail and entered the draw by registering it with a domestic crypto exchange. Prizes were set at ¥100,000, ¥30,000 and ¥10,000 in bitcoin across 710 places. The company reports that 493 holders received a total of about 0.618 BTC, worth about ¥7.8 million at the rate used. Minors and non-residents were not eligible. The company estimates about ¥2,358 each, based on 2,120 such holders in June 2026. Context

Ikuyo's results filing is one of the first full reports on a Japanese benefit paid in a digital asset. Delivery required holders to open an account with a crypto exchange and enter a code. With 493 recipients against 710 places, the draw appears to have had fewer entrants than prizes, which suggests how much each extra step can cost in participation.

abc's service tackles a different problem: points are useful only where they can be spent. Rather than choosing partners itself, it lets holders nominate them and uses the demand to negotiate.

PA joins the small group of companies using a fixed pool divided among eligible holders, a model that keeps the company's cost predictable.

Yutai's view

The September 30 filings show companies experimenting with the delivery layer: new assets, new redemption networks and new ways to budget. The lesson from Ikuyo is that participation follows convenience. A benefit reaches more of its intended holders when it arrives where they already hold their shares, without a separate account to open.
